Sketch Renderings

A new style of preliminary rendering - While developing a project I've often found it hard to represent perspectives without adding "to much." Its easy to over render images making them overwhelming and far from a projects initial goals. This is one of the many problems with technology and its ability to let you obsess over details. I quickly generated a Sketchup model with basic structure of a hypothetical skyscraper in South Boston. Instead of rending the model into a base i chose to simply export the perspective lines and let Photoshop take care of the rest. Switching the lines to a white pencil i layered them over a brown paper texture to give the rendering an unfinished look. Adding people and focusing on the spaces internal green space i stayed away from assigning material textures and instead focused on the view produced by the conceived skyscraper. . . more to come -->
